The Rheged offers endless Easter fun this year, with movie showings of animation features including Storks and Moana, as well as the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them! Make a needle felt sheep with Fi Oberon, one of the UK’s leading needle felters, with a hands on workshop for an introduction to needle felting! Join on the unique paper fold sculptures workshop, where you will make Spring themed sculptures that will be brought to life through story telling, and you can take them home! The making pom pom Easter animal’s workshop with the Adventurers will have you creating your own pom pom animals, either a rabbit, lamb or fun Easter chick! Join in on the woodstone learning class and make your own clay hedgehog, or take the Nature Animation for beginner’s workshop with Sheryl Jenkins, and create a short film using drawings, rubbings and natural materials! Decorate a mini bird house for your garden, creating a beautiful home for all your feathered friends, improve your archery skills with Bushcraft, who are back by popular demand, and will share some skills that every explorer needs to know! Helen’s Fantasy Faces will be face painting, where you can choose an Easter or Spring themed face for the day, and have a go at making your own fairy garden with the Adventurers, with their magical workshop which will help you make a fair house, pathway and other garden features for your magical friends.

At: Wordsworth House & Garden When: 14th – 17th April
Explore the grounds of Wordsworth and find a Cadbury’s chocolatey treat, take a step back in time and see William Wordsworth’s childhood home from the 1770’s! Make sure to make time for the 30 minute guided house tour and have a personal insight into the family life that helped to forge one of the UK’s greatest poets, as well as learning about how the house was saved from demolition later on in its life.

At: Walby Farm Park When: 8th – 23rd April
Explore the farm, and keep an eye out for the live lambing throughout the Easter holidays for something magical, and witness a lamb take its first steps! There will be craft creations, a fun colouring competition, fantastic and egg-stream flying displays, a fun eggs-carvation dig, as well as being able to decorated a pasche egg, and the egg hunt challenge around the farm!
