Cheddar Gorge & Caves
Cheddar, BS27 3QF | 5 min drive
One of the most spectacular landmarks in Britain and definitely worth a visit is the Cheddar Gorge & Caves. With the incredible cliffs and extraordinary caves there is so much to see and do here. Explore Gough’s Cave, enjoy a cliff top walk, go up Jacob’s Ladder and the Lookout Tower, try out rock climbing or even adventure caving. No matter how old your kids are there is something fun around this area for everyone to enjoy.
Cheddar Crazy Golf
7 Queens Row, The Cliffs, Cheddar BS27 3QE | 4 min drive
Sometimes there is nothing better than a little bit of friendly competition amongst family right? And at Cheddar Crazy Golf you can do exactly that! This 18 hole crazy golf course is set back in the hills of Cheddar. They are open from late March to early October each year and prices start at £4.75 per person. Pre booking isn’t required unless you are a group of over 10 people.
Ocean Adventures Soft Play
Unit 11 Cheddar Business Park, Cheddar BS27 3EB | 4 min drive
This award-winning soft play area with role play village is the perfect spot for little ones to have fun in Cheddar. With being one of the largest of its kind in the South West your kids will be spoilt for choice on what to play with here. Prices are from £8.95 per child and parents are £2.95. There is a café inside with plenty of food and drink options available so you can easily spend the day here. It’s the perfect rainy day activity for kids as the UK weather can be unpredictable.
Cheddar Treasure Hunt Trail
Starts at – Cliff Road, Cheddar, BS27 3QF
If this is your first time around the area then the Cheddar Treasure Hunt Trail will be a fun filled day of exploring. The best thing about this treasure hunt trail is that its bought online so you choose whether you want one to print at home or printed by them and delivered to you. Then you explore the area completing the trail which usually takes around 2 hours and you end up walking for around 2.5 miles so it’s an amazing way to wonder around Cheddar.
Mendips Raceway
Warrens Hill Rd, Shipham BS40 7XU | 8 min drive
This motorsport venue in the Mendip Hills is an oval shaped circuit usually used for racing stock cars, hot rods, demolition events and more. If you have kids who love cars, racing and exciting fun like this then make sure you check out any events on whilst you’re in Cheddar. There are a range of different events from caravan and car races to demolition events and more!
