Below you will find a list of various days out to suit families of all ages from perfect beach days to adventure filled fun. Kynance Cove

Helston, TR12 7PJ | 22 min drive from resort

Kynance Cove is just slightly further along the Lizard Peninsula than Mullion Cove and is worth a visit whilst you’re there. From the car park you can walk through 1/3 of a mile of Lizard heathland and prepare to be mesmerized as you head down to the incredible beach with white sands and turquoise waters. It’s a great place to explore with its many caves, islands, and rocks to discover. Whether you’re after a beach day or somewhere to head to watch the sunset Kynance Cove is a great choice.

Flambards Theme Park

Clodgey Ln, Helston, TR13 0QA | 18 min drive from resort

If you are looking for a family day out with some adrenaline fuelled fun, then Flambards Theme Park will be the perfect place to visit. The theme park is under a 20-minute drive away from Mullion Cove and has all sorts of rides to suit all the family. Whether you are after seeking new heights on the Skyraker or Thunderbolt or you are wanting to experience the Jurassic Journey or Ferdi’s Indoor Play, you will be spoilt for choice with things to do here. There is also a café, burger bar and plenty of picnic benches across the park.

Porthleven Beach

Porthleven, Helston, TR13 9EH | 25 min drive from resort

The perfect beach if you are wanting to relax and explore. Porthleven Beach offers three miles of sand to wander which can be found just east from the historic harbour. There is so much to see and do on the beach and in the town with plenty of cafes, restaurants, and shops. When the tide is low the beach can stretch out all the way to Loe Bar so you can enjoy a walk across if you aren’t wanting to sit on the beach. It’s a great beach to explore just a short drive away from the resort and one that is definitely worth visiting.

Cornish Seal Sanctuary

Gweek, TR12 6UG | 19 min drive from resort

The Cornish Seal Sanctuary is a sanctuary owned by the SEA LIFE Trust where they rescue and rehabilitate seal pups from around the coastline. Each season they rehabilitate over 70 pups that have been rescued, they also provide a permanent home for animals that need special care. Not only do they have seals you will also find rescue puffins from Iceland, Beavers and paddock animals like Pygmy goats and Dartmoor sheep. During your visit you can get up close and personal with all the animals and learn about their background.

Cadgwith Cove

Cadgwith, Helston, TR12 7JX | 15 min drive from resort

Located at the end of a little valley, Cadgwith Cove is a small shingle beach with clear water perfect for swimming, snorkelling and rock pooling. The village and cove are full of history and a great area to explore. If you are wanting to venture further head up onto the coastal path and walk towards the Lizard where you will find the Devil’s Frying Pan. It’s a natural wonder and an incredible sight worth visiting since you are in the area. The Cadgwith Cove Inn is just behind the beach and is a 300-year-old inn offering rooms and dining so the perfect choice to refuel during your visit.

The Chocolate Factory & Craft Centre

Mullion Meadows, Mullion, Helston, TR12 7HB | 1 min drive from resort

If you are looking for something just up the road from the resort, you have to visit The Chocolate Factory & Craft Centre. There is so much to see and do during your visit and they are open 7 days a week. You can watch the chocolatiers tempering and filling chocolates and truffles, there is also craft shop and gift shop where you can buy all sorts of hand-made and locally sourced items and various “take & make” kits perfect for kids. As well as a coffee shop offering lunches, cakes and drinks and a field full of llamas behind the car park!

Poldhu Cove Beach

Mullion, Helston, TR12 7JB | 6 min drive from resort

Poldhu Cove is a sandy and sheltered beach on the coast of the Lizard known for its surf school and incredible views. Whether you’re after a day sunbathing, learning a new skill at the surf school or wandering along the coastal path there is so much to do in the area. The Poldhu Beach Café & Shop is also right at the edge of the beach and offers all sorts of delicious food, cakes, and drinks so you can stay in the area all day long.

Roskilly’s

Tregellast Cl, St Keverne, Helston, TR12 6NX | 23 min drive from resort

Roskilly’s is an organic working Cornish farm in Helston and is free to visit. You can come to the farm and meet the animals, stroll around the meadows, and take in the incredible views in the countryside. Some of the animals on the farm include pigs, sheep, turkeys, chickens and of course cows. During your visit you have to go to the ice cream parlour to try their freshly made ice cream, you can buy it by the scoop or even tubs that you can take home with you.
