Tilford Woods Lodge Retreat is the perfect base for exploring the local area of Surrey.

Warner Bros. Studio Tour London

Studio Tour Dr, Leavesden, Watford, WD25 7LR | 1 hour 6 minute drive away

For all the Harry Potter fans out there, you may not have known but the Warner Bros. Studio Tour is actually just over an hours drive away from Tilford Woods making the perfect day trip. This studio tour has the actual film sets from the world renowned Harry Potter film series. Here you can explore the likes of the Great Hall, Forbidden Forest, Platform 9¾, Diagon Alley and more. As well as plenty of props and costumes to see along the way plus a huge gift shopping selling everything from wands and robes to stationery and clothing.

Birdworld

Holt Pound Ln, A325, Farnham, GU10 4LD | 14 minute drive away

Birdworld is just around the corner from the resort and offers a great day out for families of all ages. As their name suggests, Birdworld is home to 1,200 animals such as penguins, parrots, flamingos, owls and more. You can listen to various talks at each enclosure throughout the day specifically at Penguin Island and The Owl Academy. Birdworld has a large restaurant offering plenty of hot meals, snacks and cakes as well as a kiosk near the play area.

Thorpe Park

Perfect for the thrill seekers, Thorpe Park is under an hours drive away from the resort and is an incredible day out. There’s over 25 rides to choose from including the UK’s tallest and fastest rollercoaster and the world’s first horror movie themed coaster. By the time you’ve gone on all the rides you’ll have worked up quite an appetite and there are plenty of places to choose from with the Vibes Bar & Kitchen, Doughnut Time, Camden Junction Bar and more.

Bocketts Farm Park

Young St, Fetcham, Leatherhead, KT22 9BS | 44 minute drive away

Set in the Surrey countryside, Bocketts Farm Park is a great family day out especially if you have children that love seeing all types of animals. There is so much to see and do here and they are open all year round. Enjoy a tractor ride around the farm, watch the pig race, cuddle with some rabbits and feed a variety of different farm animals, along with plenty of baby animals to see like lambs, piglets and chicks. Children will also enjoy the 2 indoor play barns, adventure trails, trampolines, giant slides and more.

Stoke Park

Stoke Park is the perfect outdoor space close to the resort if you are wanting a few hours out in a new environment. It is a popular green space with locals and visitors and has won a Green Flag award. The park has a woodland, as well as a walled garden, a paddling pool, crazy golf course, children’s play area and more. And of course you can explore the town of Guildford when you visit with its many shops, restaurants and cafes.

Chessington World of Adventures

Chessington, KT9 2NE | 41 minute drive away

There is so much to enjoy at Chessington World of Adventures from a theme park, zoo and a SEA LIFE aquarium. Whether you are looking for an adrenaline filled day out or a fun filled experience if you have a family full of animal lovers you can have it all here. There is also plenty of choice when it comes to places to eat, from restaurants for sit down meals to places to grab a quick drink and a snack on your way round. As well as shops selling various themed trinkets and gifts.

Polesden Lacey

Great Bookham, Dorking, RH5 6BB | 45 minute drive away

Located in the North Downs near Dorking, Polesden Lacey is an Edwardian House and estate that is now owned by the National Trust and makes the perfect family day out. From exploring the many rooms and seasonal events and exhibitions around the country house to the incredible gardens that surround the house. Or even going on an adventure through the 1,600 acre estate that features an ancient woodland, downland and incredible views over the Surrey Hills.

Hollycombe Steam in the Country

Iron Hill, Midhurst Rd, Liphook, GU30 7LP | 22 minute drive away

Known for being one of the largest collections of working steam vehicles in Britain, Hollycombe Steam is the perfect family day out local to the resort. Enjoy rides on various vehicles from the Golden Gallopers, Steam Swingboats and Steam Chair-o-Planes and even a number of popular fairground rides. There is also a café on site offering a selection of hot and cold food as well as the Hollycombe Shop with plenty of treats and gifts to choose from.
