Jocelyn Granger from Rivendale Lodge Retreat has been training for the sponsored Land’s End to John O’Groats cycle tour (LEJOG) and here are the final updates…
25th May:
“With only 9 days left to go, I’m really excited and can’t wait until I set off now. Training is done during which I’ve cycled c.1600 miles covering all corners of the Peak District; discovering out of the way places and quiet lanes I would otherwise never have visited. I’ve had some extremely generous donations on my JustGiving page but I’d love to reach my new target of £1800. If you haven’t already (and thank you so much if you have) then please would you consider helping me by donating. However small, it all adds up. :)”
1st June:
“There’s just 2 days to go now until I travel to Cornwall ready for LEJOG. So exciting 🙂 Having finished my cycle training plan and packed my bike off ready for transportation to the start, I had the chance to get back to some trail running and did one of my favorite events, the Leaden Boot Challenge, with my daughter Katie. We covered 26 miles and over 5000 ft of ascent but the stunning scenery of the Dove and Manifold Valleys more than makes up for all those hills. Time to take it easy now though.”
