Although it is best to book in advance to avoid disappointment when it comes to UK staycations, there are ways you can save money with a last minute holiday…but how to find one?
Most of the time you will probably be planning for your UK staycation months before you plan to go. But we know some people love the spontaneity of booking something last minute. If you are thinking about being spontaneous when it comes to your next trip there are a few things to consider before you start searching and booking your holiday for next month.
1. try to avoid peak dates
Usually, you have the most chance with availability and the find best price when you are looking off peak. This means looking where you can at dates that aren’t in school holidays or bank holidays. So, when you are searching for availability make sure you are aware of any half term holidays or when the summer holidays start.
2. be as flexible as possible
When it comes to booking a last minute holiday you want to try and be as flexible as possible. We have 26 holiday resorts across the UK covering Scotland, Cornwall, Norfolk and everywhere in between so if you are booking something last minute make sure you are flexible on your location. And if you can, look at mid-week 4-night breaks from Monday to Friday as you will save on the additional weekend costs.
