things to do in Kent
There are plenty of things to do in the area around our resort for all ages. Canterbury itself is of course home to the world-famous Canterbury Cathedral which dates back to 597 AD.
We highly recommend visiting the cathedral itself during your break in the region and taking advantage of the informative audio guides. You can take in many of the other attractions in the city when you jump on one of the guided tours which are available from the Buttermarket.
History buffs are also in for a treat when they visit the 12th century Dover Castle. This castle has been of extreme military importance to the UK since its construction and last played its part in battle during World War Two when it was used as a base for the Dunkirk missions.
If you’d prefer to do a bit of shopping, then you are also in luck thanks to the nearby Whitefriars Shopping Centre where you will find a mix of high street chains, locally ran stores and high-quality eating and drinking establishments. A shopaholics paradise.
