what is a static caravan?

A static caravan is a type of holiday home that stays stationary. Usually you choose a resort and buy a static caravan off them or choose a resort to locate a static caravan you already have. Static caravans are usually all white/cream with a maximum width of 14ft with varying lengths. The range of static caravans available start with very basic fixtures but can also be extremely luxurious depending on your budget. They are the perfect type of holiday home to start with if you are wanting to try out the ownership lifestyle. When it’s time to upgrade that is when people then usually go to a lodge. The price of static caravans can start from £27,995 for a 2 bed.

what is a lodge?

A lodge is another type of holiday home that also stays stationary. But most of the time you will buy the lodge from the resort you want it to be located at. Holiday lodges offer all the luxuries you could want from a holiday home. The main difference from a static caravan is the size, the width can go up to 22ft and most exteriors are usually made of brown or grey cladding. Due to the size of lodges you can find many home comforts in a holiday lodge like a utility, dressing room, large bathrooms and usually more bedrooms than static caravans offer. Prices of holiday lodges vary but they can start from £94,995 for a 2 bed.
