Cornwall is a haven for all, especially dogs, which means there is an incredible choice of dog-friendly pubs to choose from.

With that being said, there are so many around that it can be hard choosing where to go for a bite to eat. And since we have three resorts in Cornwall perfect for pet-friendly holidays and owning a holiday home we’d like to say we know a thing or two about where to go. Below you will find a list of some amazing dog-friendly pubs to visit in Cornwall during your next trip down to the South West coast.

The Mounts Bay Inn

Churchtown, Mullion, Helston, TR12 7HN

Located in the quaint village of Mullion, The Mounts Bay Inn is a coastal hotel and restaurant near the beach of Mullion. The restaurant buys local produce in and fresh seafood to provide reasonably priced pub food. So whether you are looking for a tasty catch of the day or a delicious curry you can enjoy it here. It has been recently refurbished too with a variety of comfy seating and double doors that open out onto their beautiful deck and garden area perfect for the summer months.

The Old Inn

Churchtown, Mullion, Helston, TR12 7HN

A traditional thatched pub in the heart of Mullion that has provided food and a place to stay for travellers since the 16th century! There are plenty of dishes available from mixed olives to jacket potatoes, traditional pasties and even cheesy nachos. One of the main reasons this is such a great dog-friendly pub is because they offer ‘Scooby snacks for our 4 legged friends’ which includes things like chicken breast, pork sausages, bonios and more!

The Queen’s Arms

Sethnoe Way, Breage, Helston, TR13 9PD

This family-friendly pub in the heart of the village of Breage is the perfect place to enjoy some classic pub food without leaving your furry friend behind. Dogs on leads are welcome in the bar and food is served from 12 noon until 9pm every day of the week. They also offer Sunday roasts from 12 noon till 3pm. The location of this pub is perfect too as plenty of beautiful beaches in Cornwall are only a short 5 minute drive away so this is the perfect stop off after a day at the beach.

Trewardreva Mill, Falmouth, TR11 5QD

A unique place to enjoy in Falmouth for brunch, lunch, shopping, drinks, treats and more! Open 7 days a week 9am – 4pm, Slice of Cornwall is a unique stop offering a range of dishes from all day brunch, ham egg and chips, crispy squid and more. So if you are looking for somewhere a little different than just pub food this place is perfect. And your dog is also welcome on all outdoor seating so its perfect for the spring and summer months when you want to eat al fresco.

Cadgwith Cove Inn

Cadgwith, Helston, TR12 7JX

Enjoy the tranquil setting of Cadgwith Cove Inn surrounded by the beautiful, rugged scenery. The inn is the perfect place to stop for a bite to eat at lunch or dinner with plenty of home-produced food and fresh seafood that is sourced from the cove. They use a local Cadgwith fisherman who catches the seafood and they serve it to the table the same day. The pub is dog friendly too so you can enjoy your food with your four-legged friend sitting there with you.

The Shipwrights Arms

Helford, Helston, TR12 6JX

Eat, drink, relax and unwind at The Shipwrights Arms, on the shoreline of Helford River you can enjoy the stunning views of the Helford Passage whilst you enjoy a bite to eat. Its biggest appeal is that it is right on the shoreline, the beer garden has direct waterfront access and during the summer months kids and dogs enjoy jumping off the quay. Plenty of fisherman and sailors also moor their boats here and stop for lunch. It’s a little more expensive than a standard pub but the food is definitely worth it.

The New Inn

Manaccan, Helston, TR12 6HA

Enjoy eating at The New Inn, a quintessentially old-fashioned British pub with a thatched roof. Located in the Cornish village of Manaccan, you and your four-legged friend can enjoy lunch or dinner here. There is a range of classic pub food on offer from sausages and chips, sourdough baguettes and squid. All ingredients are locally sourced to create the fresh and tasty homemade food.
