With some family fun around the local area this half term, Thanet Well is perfectly placed to explore the breathtaking region and enjoy the spooktacular events…

 

halloween at the world of Beatrix Potter

When: 30th Oct. Time: 10am – 4pm. Prices: £7.20 (adult) £3.70 (child)

Visit all the amazing attractions that this family fun world of the famous author, from Jemima Puddle-duck’s woodland glade to Peter Rabbit’s garden. Children will get in for free if they are in full fancy dress, so pick you spookiest outfit to wear and sparkle away, with activities including spooky crafts, magic pumpkins and fun face painting!

When: 28th – 31st Oct. Time: 12.30pm or 2.30pm. Prices: £12.50

Jump on board the Ghostly Galleon for a fangtastic 90 minute cruise filled with monsters, mayhem and magic with magician Stu-Di-Doo. With activities including spooky temporary tattoos and Halloween colouring, the little ones will also get to take home a monster balloon and a goodie bag filled with sweets!

 

half term at Lowther Castle

When: 28th – 31st Oct. Time: 12.30pm – 3.30pm. Prices: £8 (adult) £7 (child)

Let the children’s imaginations run while this half term while running through the fallen leaves and sparse trees on the grounds of Lowther Castle. Discover the lost castle, play on the tree swings and in the natural play areas, while getting messy with slime and goo in the making workshops, cast spells with wands and turn themselves into witches, wizards, cats or frogs with the mask making workshop, as well as fun face painting!

 

half term fun at Brockhole

When: 15th – 30th Oct. Time: 10am – 5pm. Prices: £3 – £8 (depending on activity)

Brockhole has lots going on over the half term holidays, with spooky fun at the Ghoulish Scavenger Hunt where you can follow the trail to win a special prize! Some spooky story telling for all the family at the Spooky Stories event, visit the Halloween Hoot and meet Dumbledore the beautiful white faced owl, as well as his friends Tassle and Ivy the barn owls, and cute little Eggnog the tiny owl and learn how amazing these creatures truly are. There are plenty of spooky crafts including, create your own hats, spiders and other scary critters, as well as the fun normal attractions like archery, mini-golf, boat hire, pony rides and the fun adventure playground!

 

After a day of half term Halloween fun you can retreat back to the peace and tranquillity of Thanet Well Lodge Retreat, sit back and relax with a scary movie and try not to get too scare that you are in the middle of nowhere, totally isolated in your stunning lodge. (Scared yet?)
