October 21, 2015

Plans to stay in Cheddar for Halloween 2015? Have a look below at what’s going on…

The main attraction around Cheddar Woods Resort & Spa is the famous Cheddar Gorge, stunning on a normal day and even more so at Halloween. There are other events this Halloween around Cheddar too, why not have a read and see what tickles your scary senses?

Halloween at Cheddar Gorge

The Gorge itself is home to some 12 species of bats that you can spot as you travel through, you will also have the opportunity to handle real life creepy crawlies (like big spiders!). The show caves will also be illuminated in an atmospheric way, the live-in ghosts have been woken up and are ready to spook and scare with the best of them! The Gorge encourages everyone to dress up in their favourite Halloween costume to visit and enjoy all the laughs and fun. The younger kids can carve their own jack’o’lanterns, everyone can enjoy the tour and listen to the ghost stories and step back in time at the museum of pre-history and see the replica of Britain’s oldest complete skeleton. With so much on at Cheddar Gorge this Halloween there is something for everyone to explore.

Half-Term Halloween Spooktacular

This would be a wonderful place to visit any time of the year, with hidden treasures throughout for the kids to enjoy. During Halloween it is even better, with the creepy cobwebbed corridors, spooky monsters and scary creatures throughout the museum, there will be something to spook everyone! Enter the spooky time warp for some terrifyingly good fun, find the scariest Doctor Who baddie, see your favourite superheros and venture into the rest of the nostalgic collection related to your favourite TV programmes. After the time traveling journey savour the tearoom and enjoy the ghoulish snacks and treats on offer. Fun for all the family for Halloween 2015.

Halloween Caves

It’s not just Cheddar Gorge that has caves in Somerset, you must visit the Wookey Hole Caves too, and with your Halloween ticket covering you for all the theme park rides, as well as the spooky goings on, Halloween is the best time! The little buccaneers will love the Pirate Adventure Golf, then run off and find all the treats in the Mystic Fairy Garden; with over 20 attractions there is something for everyone! Visit the Witches Grotto, brand new this year, and get a spooky free gift, drop into the 4D cinema and watch a spooky Halloween movie. The Wookey Hole Witch will the meeting and greeting the ghosts and ghouls visiting over Halloween, and the best child in fancy dress will get a brilliant prize! Watch the Halloween Circus show, this high-energy performance will have daring trapeze artists, crazy unicyclists and much more on offer.
