Spending Halloween 2015 in Dorset? Have a read and find out what’s on

Swanage Bay View has some stunning views surrounding the park, a wonderful place to spend Halloween with the family. The kids can run around and trick or treat to their hearts content. But if you are looking for something off site then here are a few ideas.

halloween at Corfe Castle

This 1000 year old Royal castle has been shaped from its history of warfare and torment. One of the most iconic and evocative survivors of the gruesome English Civil War, and with a history like this there is sure to be some spooky goings on around the place. You can’t fail to be captured by the romantic castle ruins, but always remember the fallen walls and secret rooms with tales of treachery and treason are around every corner. Wander around the spooktacular castle this Halloween and spot the ‘murder holes’ and count the arrow loops, then marvel at the breath-taking views of Purbeck. Find all the ghosts and pumpkins on their family trail and join in the other hair-raising activities that are on offer here this Halloween. Great fun for the kids and interesting stories for the adults, you can’t go wrong!

halloween bistro train

The famous Bistro train will be spreading the ghoulish cheer this year with its brilliant Halloween-inspired menu! All aboard this freakishly fangtastic ride, remember to dress up in your favourite Halloween outfit to enjoy all the gory delights. With dishes like twisted intestines and hellfire chicken on offer, as well as tasty desserts that are bound to tempt even the devil himself, there will be something for every witch and wizard on the train! Booking is essential for this ghostly night of fun, so do ring to make sure you can get your space!

hansel and gretel show

A brilliant half term Halloween show! We all know the story of the German twins whose father leaves them in the forest and they find the gingerbread house, and the scary witch who wants to cook them! How was this ever a children’s story?! Anyway, this hilarious and sweet pantomime is the perfect place for children! It brings together amazing magic, comedy, sets and costumes that are good enough to eat. (see what I did there?) Marvel at the dragons, illusions and brilliant full supporting cast, and there may even be a custard pie or two! This is an extremely light, family fun filled, feel good fest! Have a blast this Halloween!

Happy Halloweening ghosts and ghouls! Have a fangtastic half term and Halloween!
