Luke Willet – aka ‘The Iron Golfer’ attempted to beat the Speedgolf World Record at The Springs GC in Oxfordshire.

Luke, a PGA professional, has a reputation for undertaking ironman-style challenges with a golfing twist! A successful PGA coach, based at Hampstead Golf Club in north London, Luke has previously attempted to play 252 Open Championship holes during an 804-mile bike journey around Britain and take on the three highest Cumbrian peaks as well as play 54 holes in one day!

Luke has long been a speed golfer, with his previous attempt at the Speedgolf world record (and his personal best) currently at 121 (this is calculated by adding time in minutes plus score).

On Friday 16th October, Luke attempted to break the world record, which is currently held by Christoper Smith and stands at a score of 108.

Watch how Luke got on.
