Escape a shipwreck, find your way through the mystical caves and explore the murky 18th Century streets and replica tavern. Located on Towan Beach in Newquay, the Blue Reef Aquarium offers a fantastic journey through local waters, all the way to exotic shores through fascinating displays and underwater creatures. There are over 40 displays to discover, showcasing local reef sharks which can grow up to two meters! Meet the friendly loggerhead turtles and learn how long they live and enjoy the sights from the walk-through Ocean Tunnel, filled with colourful fish and sharks. Say a big hello to the most interesting creature, the Giant Pacific Octopus, which has blue blood, 3 hearts and a brain-shaped like a doughnut!
