what to do before checking in?

You will be able to check into the resort from 4pm but make sure you start your holiday earlier than that by visiting Bude before you check in. Under a 15-minute drive away from the resort, Bude is a stunning seaside town with plenty to keep you busy. From little seaside shops to a huge range of cafes and restaurants as well as beaches and Bude Sea Pool. Whether you are planning on spending the whole day there before you check in or just a few hours it’s a lovely town with something for everyone to enjoy.

Although there is plenty to keep you and your kids entertained at the resort it can also be nice to go out for a day and make some memories in the local area. It is a medieval fortress and there is plenty to explore during your visit as well as there being a circular walk that takes around 4 hours to complete if you are wanting to spend the whole day there. As well as the impressive views of the castle, the views out to sea and beyond are also incredible and well worth the visit.

2. Hartland Abbey

5. Eden Project

They also make sure they use fresh seasonal produce using the best ingredients they can get from both Italy and Cornwall. You can even see them at work creating the pizzas whilst you sit and enjoy your food.

2. Rosie’s Kitchen and Starboard Wood Fired Bistro

This family run beachside café is the perfect stop if you are looking for delicious food in a great location in Bude town centre. Whether you are after something for breakfast, lunch, dinner or somewhere to stop for a coffee and an ice cream you can do it all at Rosie’s Kitchen. Sandymouth Bay Beach

Sandymouth Bay Beach is located just down the road from the resort and makes a great beach day. It’s a popular beach where you can explore the vast stretch of sand that is edged by incredible cliffs. There is a National Trust car park at the end of the road as well as a café and it takes around 5 minutes to walk down onto the beach. It’s also perfect for watching the sunset in the evening during your holiday especially with it being so close to the resort.

Summerleaze Beach

Summerleaze Beach is an award-winning beach in Bude town centre. A popular place for surfing or beach days. Lined with colourful beach huts, you can enjoy relaxing and watching the world go by for hours here. It is also known for its water sports and there are many surf schools that use the beach for their lessons. You can easily spend a whole day here as it is right in the centre of the town so you are never far from a restaurant or shop.
