Next weekend you can head to Chester Zoo and enjoy the Wildlife Connections Festival which is a free family event this September.

We have been partners with Chester Zoo for over 5 years and sponsor a range of conservations and events each year. This event will take place on Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th September 2022 from 11.30am till 4.30pm. This event doesn’t require you to pre-book or get a ticket you can just turn up on the day and enjoy all that they have on offer for you to take part in. The festival is set in the 6 hectare nature reserve at the zoo and has a range of different activities and entertainment to keep you busy.

what’s on in the festival?

  • Mammal Detectives
  • Brilliant Birds
  • Pond Live
  • Bug Basecamp
  • Wonderful Wildflowers

There are also some amazing experiences that children can get stuck into with drop in sessions all day. Whether you want to get your face painted to look like your favourite zoo animal or put on some wings and transform into a beautiful butterfly. You can also see how good you are at den building whilst learning all about the different animal homes.

During the weekend you will also find that Blue Peter presenter Mwaka Mudenda and presenter of CBeebies’ Teeny Tiny Creatures and wildlife conservationist Chantelle Lindsay will be delivering interactive stage shows and meet and greets.
