This year we were able to visit the Royal Shakespeare Company and watch their production of As You Like It.
We have been in a partnership with the Royal Shakespeare Company for many years now and sponsor various events and shows that they have on each year. This year we are the Headline Sponsor of the summer production As You Like It.
The story takes you on a journey with Rosalind and Celia as they venture to a world beyond the Forest of Arden. Meeting all kinds of characters along the way whilst watching Rosalind fall deeply in love with Orlando, a nobleman who was mistreated by his elder brother. The whole performance is entertaining from start to finish and offers a modern and humorous take on Shakespeare.
In the context of the show the cast comes together again after 40 years to restage the production along with some new faces. It was nice to see them reconnect and work together to re-enact As You Like It. Even if you aren’t familiar with Shakespeare’s work this production is entertaining for all ages.

Which area of the UK is your favourite place to book a staycation?
Anywhere in Yorkshire Which I love. My mother came from Yorkshire and whenever I’m there I feel an affinity. Recently I was filming there, and the variety of scenery is outstanding.
When searching for a UK holiday – what’s the first thing you look for?
Peace and quiet.
What would you never forget to pack?
Binoculars
What is the main thing you want to do during a staycation?
Enjoy nature

Both. I would cook using local produce and go out to taste local produce.

Family holidays in Dorset

Birding.
What would be your dream holiday if you had an unlimited budget?
Somewhere remote and accessible by rail or boat.
What celebrity/celebrities would you want to go on holiday with?
Bill Bailey as he’s a birder and would make me laugh

Depending on the quality of the local eateries, probably cook.
What’s your favourite ever holiday?
Trekking through southeast Asia for two months
What’s your favourite thing to do on holiday?
To explore on foot the local countryside and eat the local food.
What would be your dream holiday if you had an unlimited budget?
To pay a private visit to the Tomb of The Emperor Qin and sail up the Yangtze River Gorges.
Or to hire a three- mast Turkish Gulet with crew and most importantly, chef,and take 15 close friends on a tour of the uninhabited islands around the Aegean
What celebrity/celebrities would you want to go on holiday with?
Being on holiday with a celebrity is a very difficult business because of the lack of privacy, so it would have to be The Invisible Man!
What type of holiday would your character want to go on?
Silvius, a very romantic Shepard, talks of fantasy that love leads him into, so I think he would like to take Phoebe to Venice for a romantic ride in a gondola. However, if it was in the UK, then I think it would have to be Edinburgh which is also a very romantic city with its narrow cobbled streets and ancient buildings. Sadly, no sheep on Arthur’s Seat since the 70’s so that would be a bit of a blow!

A cabin holiday by the waters of Motsi o tunya.

Sleep. Rest. Take long walks. Read. Relax.

A holiday that went from a cabin to a chalet to a yacht to a castle, with lots of spa treatments and jujees thrown in. I’d also take a break from the holiday as and when, then come back.
