Spend October Half Term in Cornwall where there are plenty of spooky events to get you in the Halloween mood…

 

You’ll be spoilt for choice when you visit our Mullion Cove Coastal Retreat, not only is it set in a stunning location with luxury holiday lodges on site, but there are an array of spooky Halloween themed activities to keep your little Monsters entertained during half term week too.

Where: Land’s End / When: 20th – 26th Oct / Times: 10am – 4.30pm

One of the most beautiful places in the world and the most Southern point in mainland UK, Land’s End is a popular landmark attraction for all ages. Visit during half term in October and watch out for spooky happenings. Explore the Halloween craft cavern where you can create the scariest monster you could think of! Listen to the enchanting ghost stories about this place so steeped in history, myth and legend.

Where: Maritime Museum / When: 21st – 29th Oct / Times: 10am – 5pm

The Maritime Museum is always a popular family attraction in South Cornwall, and when you visit over Halloween half term, you can enjoy the Ghost Ship event! There will be a plethora of crafts to get involved in, as well as a visually stunning and acrobatic theatrical performance Yskynna!

Where: Flambards / When: 24th Oct / Times: 10am – 5pm

This annual tricks and treats event is always hugely popular! Along with all the usual rides and indoor attractions you can follow the Halloween trail through the Victorian Village and then enjoy the absolutely stunning firework display!

Where: Pendennis Castle / When: 23rd – 31st Oct / Times Vary on Activity

Visit Pendennis Castle and immerse yourself in the rich history of this stunning castle, join in on the plethora of spooky activities and creeptastic crafts at this frightfully fun castle! If you’re extra brave, explore the castle in the dark during the Spooky Halloween Tours. When journeying around at night you’ll learn all about the castle’s creepy past and find out first-hand about the ghostly goings-on, dastardly deeds and ghostly happenings from the fantastic storytellers. There are two tours, one is a family friendly tour and one for just adults which is extra spooky… which one do you dare choose?

 

Falmouth beer festival

Where: Princess Pavilion / When: 4th – 6th Oct / Times: 11am – 11pm

A hugely popular annual event, enjoy a fantastic atmosphere with more than 200 delicious real ales, ciders and perries to indulge in (not at the same time! Pace yourself!). There will also be live entertainment throughout the weekend and mouth-watering ‘pub grub’ on offer too!
