Darwin Escapes and Chester Zoo
here at Darwin Escapes, we’re proud to be supporting British Wildlife conservation at Chester Zoo.
Our partnership is celebrated by the launch of ‘Native: The Incredible World of British Wildlife’ – a truly fantastic, immersive and educational experience that aims to highlight the wonder of British wildlife, the threats they face and how people can help protect them.
The unique experience will be open from December 2023 and we can’t wait for you to be transported across the British Isles in this inspiring exhibition.
what is Native?
Native is a breathtaking new 360-degree digital projection experience that invites audiences to discover and connect with iconic British native species, including puffins, seals, dolphins and Scottish wildcats.
It will be located in Luminous, the zoo’s 600sqm digital exhibition space, and will be replacing the very popular Planet Shark experience that attracted over 500,000 visitors last summer.
The experience also has an interactive discovery area in which families can take a walk around a giant tree model, watch camera trap footage from the Chester Zoo nature reserve, discover urban wildlife and learn about bats, birds and other local wildlife.
Explore the coast, grasslands, wetlands and woodlands at Native as part of Chester Zoo and Darwin Escape’s commitment to the conservation of British wildlife.
when can I go?
Native will be opening its doors to Chester Zoo members on 15 December and will run until Spring 2024, so don’t miss it!
February half term will also see lots of fun events centred around Native and British wildlife, including talks featuring BBC Strictly Come Dancing winner and children’s TV presenter Hamza Yassin.
We really are very proud to be supporting British Wildlife conservation at Chester Zoo, and we can’t wait for you to share these fantastic experiences!”
