First built in 1704, Blenheim Palace was a gift to Duke John Churchill from Queen Anne, as a thanks for his victory in the Battle of Blenheim. It is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to some of the most extensive collection in Europe, including tapestries, portraits and much more.
Known as the birthplace of Winston Churchill, Blenheim Palace has a fascinating Churchill Exhibition where you can learn all about the life of, arguably, Great Britain’s most famous prime minister. We also have a fantastic Churchill exhibition at our Stratford-upon-Avon Lodge Retreat, where you can find a superb collection of his personal letters so, if you’re interested in this fascinating character, we’re the place for you!
