With so much going on in Bath we have the perfect place for you to visit this beautiful and historic city, our very own Bath Mill Lodge Retreat. Bath folk festival

At: Bath Abbey Churchyard, BA1 1LY
When: 11th – 19th August

This wonderful annual festival is “bringing the folk tradition to the heart of Bath”. The 9-day festival celebrates the best of folk music and is ideal for musicians, dancers, music lovers and families! There will be intimate gigs, larger concerts, jam sessions, musical workshops, open mic sessions and delicious traditional summer food!

Create your own personal pencil case at The Makery! Whether you want a little cute puppy or kitten, or you’re more of a grizzly monster kind of kid, The Makery will have the felt, buttons, fabric and even wonderful googly eyes to help you along your imagination!

Follow the trail around the historic house and explore the exhibition gallery called ‘Marking their Mark’, which is all about strong women from 300 years of history who have stood up with their own opinions and helped to conserve Bath city itself and the Georgian architecture. You can learn all about these impressive ladies during and even after the Suffragette movement and how they shaped the world.

Venture to Longleat and come face to face with 14 fearsome animatronic carnivores around the park to make your day even wilder! You’ll witness wonderful scenes of predators and their habitats from around the world, transporting you to faraway places and learning something new along the way! Visit this brilliant exhibition for some of the world’s best known predators, from modern day killers to those who walked our world millions of years ago!

2018 is the 100th year anniversary of America’s first major military involvement in the First World War, during 1914 – 1918. The exhibition serves to uncover the relationship between the allies and reflects on those who went into battle, as well as those who stayed at home. Immerse yourself in the exhibition itself and you can explore what life was like during the recruitment training, a Red Cross hospital and fabulously reconstructed Renault FT tank, which was used by the USA on the Western Front. Along your journey you will meet famous names and faces of those who served, heroes of unknown and even learn about the some of the 16 million animals who served during the war too.

When: 24th July – 31st August. Open until 10pm.
Prices: £16.50 after 5pm

View the historic Roman Baths like never before and see all of the 2000 year old beauty by torchlight, including the steaming waters and the Roman artefacts. There are different packages you can purchase if you wanted to splash out, including the Dinner Package, where you can enjoy a 3 course meal at the Roman Bath Kitchens, or opt for the Spa Ancient & Modern Package, where you will enjoy the trip around the Roman Baths and unwind at the Thermae Bath Spa, then head to the Georgian splendour of the Pump Room and enjoy a delicious afternoon tea.


Bath on the beach

At: Royal Victoria Park

You can enjoy a slice of the Caribbean in the heart of Bath, with plenty of games, food and cocktails at Bath on the Beach in the Royal Victoria Park. There are places to chill out and have fun in this fantastic beach themed part of the park, along with delicious fresh Mexican food and mouth-watering gelato and a whole range of cocktails from the Caribbean themed Pura Vida Bar! The whole family can get in on the beach-themed fun with games including tennis, table tennis, beach volleyball, adventure golf and various bar games available too.
