birdworld

Visit Birdworld, for a fun family day out! Meet the quirky penguins and join the keepers twice a day to watch their feeding- here’s where you’ll really see their adorable characters play out. There are over 2000 birds and animals to meet at Birdworld (and not just birds!) as their animals range from crocodiles to guinea pigs. Meet the friendly sheep, goats and even the reindeer – you’ll have a fantastic day out here.

farnham castle keep

Atop the crest of the hill, the Farnham castle keep overlooks the town of Farnham, so climb to the top to enjoy beautiful countryside views! Take in the impressive shell keep and motte of the castle built in 1138 by the Bishop of Winchester, the brother of King Stephen. Learn more at the exhibitions around the castle, and enjoy soaking up the history.  

waverley abbey

This is very first monastery founded in Britain, and offers a fascinating day out at Waverley Abbey. Located next to the River Wey, the monks lived a simple life in 1128 and the started a Cistercian settlement along the south of England. Explore Waverley Abbey and beyond, including the 13th Century vaulted refectory and the huge dining hall.

Discover adventure, on a perfect day out for thrill-seekers! Thorpe Park is home to some of the UK’s most popular roller coasters, as well as the UK’s best Halloween Fright Night events for adults. Jump on the UK’s fastest roller coaster, Stealth, where you’ll reach speeds of up to 80mph in 2.5 seconds – eek!  Test your nerve, on the beyond-vertical drop of the SAW roller coaster. A fun family day out for all ages, with thrilling rides for everyone – if you can handle it!
