Here in Cheddar Woods, we’ve got a bit of a claim to fame- we helped to spark the start of the current UK holiday park revolution when we first opened our doors in 2012; bringing five-star standards to the Somerset region!
In the place of a traditional former camping and touring caravan park destination, we funded the construction of the new go-to location for luxury lodge holidays in Somerset, with standards comparable to those you would find in any five-star hotel overseas.
No longer did our guests need to head overseas to experience five-star luxury – as Cheddar Woods offered our guests the first opportunity to experience the Darwin difference, setting a brand new standard which had previously been unequalled anywhere else in the UK!
This focus on providing five-star standards encompasses all aspects of our Cheddar Woods holiday park, ranging from the facilities and activities on offer, to the luxury lodges which are available both for hire and ownership.
We have worked to customise each individual lodge plot, so that it has its own unique charm and personality. That’s why we’ve worked closely with some of the leading names in the holiday home industry to make some of the most natural-looking plots for holiday accommodation and holiday home ownership possible to find! Now that’s what we call a perfect partnership.

There are a huge range of amazing facilities available in our state-of-the-art on-site complex, including the stunning Eden Spa where our highly-qualified professionals are on-hand to provide a range of spa treatments, therapies and massages aimed at helping to rejuvenate your mind, body and soul.
One of the most highly recommended options is the Aromatherapy Associates treatment which combines body and facial massages. There are also waxing, pedicures, nail manicures and much more available.
Once you’ve had your treatments, you can then retire back to our relaxation area which is freely available to owners and holiday guests staying on-site. Here you will find a balmy and relaxing steam room and sauna, in a special area of our complex which is dedicated entirely to peace and tranquility.

We’ve really got something for everyone here at Cheddar Woods – and we can’t wait for you to check it out! Some of the amazing amenities available at our resort include an indoor heated swimming pool (lush!) and our very own ten-pin bowling alley and pool tables (you can find those in the bar area). Cheddar Woods is the perfect setting for you to get-together with the rest of the family and enjoy some good-natured competition – but keep it friendly!
Getting hungry after all that activity? You’ll love our fantastic Bistro at Cheddar Woods which serves a range of mouth-watering meals, designed to accommodate a wide variety of tastes and preferences. Little tummies are also catered for, with our dedicated children’s menu – perfect for picky eaters. Our Bistro is the perfect answer for anyone who fancies a night away from the self-catering facilities (which are of course provided with all of our lodges).
